FUFA Academies League action returns this Saturday, 18th April 2026, at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, as Rays of Grace Academy prepares to face Ebenezer Soccer Academy in an afternoon showdown.
The Njeru-based side has made a solid start to the campaign, sitting 3rd on the table with 7 points from three games. Rays of Grace have been impressive going forward, scoring 10 goals, but defensive concerns remain after conceding six in the same number of matches.
Lead coach Erimiah Kato Ssenyange revealed that the team has already begun addressing key areas of improvement. Training on Tuesday, 14th April, focused heavily on strengthening the defense, as the side has conceded in all three matches so far. He also emphasized the need to be more clinical in front of goal, noting that despite scoring twice in their last outing, the team created many more chances that went unfinished.
Meanwhile, their opponents, Ebenezer Soccer Academy, are still searching for their first win of the season, having managed only two draws from three games.
Off the pitch, Rays of Grace CEO Martin Namugera expressed appreciation for the league, highlighting its importance in nurturing young talent. He noted that the weekly match schedule gives players consistent opportunities to showcase their abilities and continue developing.
