Rays of Grace Academy produced a sensational performance on Saturday, 4th April, as they thrashed Vipers SC Academy 7-1 at Twinbrook Schools, sending a strong message in the FUFA Academies League.
The emphatic victory was powered by standout performances from Amos Molu and Kiganda Ivan, who each grabbed a brace to lead the goal-scoring charge. Their clinical finishing and attacking chemistry proved too much for Vipers SC Academy to handle throughout the match.
They were well supported by Were Shafic, defender Sumaku Mutawakali, and Elvis Ssekajugo, who each added a goal to cap off a dominant team display. Rays of Grace controlled the game from start to finish, showing sharp attacking movement and improved defensive organization.
The result marks a significant turnaround for the academy, who had endured a difficult start to their campaign. In their opening FUFA Academies League fixture, Rays of Grace suffered a 4-1 defeat to El Cambio Academy—a loss that exposed gaps in both defense and midfield coordination.

However, the commanding win over Vipers SC Academy highlights the team’s resilience and ability to respond positively. The players looked more composed, disciplined, and determined, reflecting the hard work put in on the training ground after their opening setback.
With confidence now restored, focus shifts to their next challenge against Buddo Soccer Academy. Rays of Grace will face Buddo in Mukono on Sunday, 12th April, in what promises to be another exciting encounter.

Fans and supporters will be hopeful that the team can build on this impressive victory and maintain their momentum as the league continues.
